Exhibition view, Yayoi Kusama, Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery (11 April — 4 May 2002)

Yayoi Kusama is an avant-garde Japanese contemporary artist, painter, sculptor and writer. She is mainly known for her polka dot motifs, among other things, which were inspired by visions she had as a child.

In the 1960s, Yayoi Kusama participated in the psychedelic and pop art movements.

During this workshop, the children will have fun creating a 3D installation by
drawing on the typical works of the artist. Following her footsteps, they will experiment with
polka dot patterns, bright colours, sculpture and spatial composition.
