From the 1700s until about 1850, Scandinavian artists and craftsmen developed a very stylised ornamental aesthetic, the «Rosemåling». These fanciful flowers, volutes, fine lines, fluid patterns and sometimes geometric elements were used to decorate their living quarters and everyday objects.
During this afternoon, children will have fun learning and experimenting with the style using templates, printing and freehand drawing and painting. They will produce their own unique artworks by doing so.
